Comments
This is a public day use area with a boat launch, a historical interpretive area, and some trails. There is a 5” gap at the beginning of the boat dock, with a 12% grade going down the boat dock. The day use area has 16” benches, trash cans and picnic tables, which are all usable, but not accessible. A good, paved bike path leads out of the day use area, and runs north over the bridge.
There is a ramp up to the caretakers house here, and a fire ring with benches for interpretive talks. The toilet at the trailhead of the accessible estuary trail has the following specifications: Door 33”, Width 70”, Depth 70”, Height 18”, clearance to back 20”, clearance to side 19”, side and rear grab bars are 35”. There is also a designated, usable parking space at this area.
