Comments
This is a nice camping and picnic area on a grassy knoll overlooking Lynn Canal. The day use picnic area is accessed by a soft, rooty, steep trail, and only consists of 2 fire rings on a bluff, with no picnic tables. This is a walk in or bike in camp area only. You must park in the public lot in town, and then come to this site. To park here overnight would most likely lead to a parking ticket. Food must be hung over a bar nearby due to bears. Persons caught with food in their tents are subject to a $50 fine.
The tables here are 26” high with a 23” overhang. There are fire rings in the camp area. The designated parking near the camping area is not accessible due to loose gravel and a 5.7% cross slope.
