Comments
This is a boat or float plane accessible marine park. There is a tressle-tracks on which to push a car across the island, making for the only accessible portage in the entire area. Usable by a person using a kayak and wheelchair, with assistance.
There is a boardwalk leading from the firm, sand beach which is 35” wide, with an 18% slope. This is a good approach up to where the tracks start. At the tracks there are 2 boards between them which are 23” wide. A person could transfer from a chair onto the tressle and be pushed across the island here. There is a flat, boarded area on the side of the tracks here where one could sort and dry gear. There is a forest service cabin at the other end of the portage. There are no accessible features here. The boardwalk leading up to the tressle is 18% for 50’, then 12% for 100’.
