Transportation Worker Identification Credential
The Transportation Worker Identification Credintial (TWIC) program was established through the federal Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002. This program will require TWIC cards as identification for all mariners credentialed by the U.S. Coast Guard, and personnel that have unescorted access to secure areas of a port.
