Both Glider Kits and Kit Vehicles come with a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin (MCO). The MCO will specifically state that the vehicle is a Glider Kit or a Kit Vehicle. If the applicant does not have an MCO, the vehicle must be titled and registered as a reconstructed vehicle (T-270). A "Glider Kit" is used to restore or reconstruct a wrecked or dismantled tractor. All glider kits include a chassis (frame), front axle, and body (cab). The kit may also contain other optional components. A “Kit Vehicle” is a kit that can be purchased to make a modern vehicle look like a vehicle that is no longer built. These are normally replicas of sports cars or motorcycles. A motor vehicle constructed from a glider kit or kit vehicle is titled as a new vehicle. TITLE REQUIREMENTS:
