IRIS Project
Project History
Background
The Department of Administration is replacing its aging accounting (AKSAS) and payroll (AKPAY) systems which support approximately 16,500 employees in all three branches of government and have been operational since 1985 and 1990, respectively.
- ALDER - The department
created a data warehouse reporting system that contains
historical and current information from these legacy systems.
Having a separate repository will simplify and reduce the amount
of data conversion required while providing a common business
intelligence reporting platform that bridges the gap between the
legacy and the replacement systems.
Business Case
A business case for administrative
system replacement was initially completed in 2003, and updated in
2007.
Procurement
Procurement for an ERP solution kicked off in January 2010.
