Approval Policy
Approved TA must be in hand at time of purchase. If approver not
available for signature then an email approval is attached. (The
ATD is responsible for ensuring that this has been completed prior
to approving the purchase of the ticket.)
A Probation Officer approves Inmate Travel prior to release. (The
ATD is responsible for ensuring that this has been completed prior
to approving the purchase of the ticket.)
Approval Policy for Changes to Purchased
Itineraries
Approval is the same as standard approval. Inmate tickets are not
changed and any refunds must be returned to the state.

None.
Travelers Pre-Approved to Book Their Own
Non-Emergency Travel
The Executive Director of the Parole Board for the Parole Board. A
Probation Officer who places a probationer under arrest and needs
to transport the prisoner back to a correctional facility may book
their own and the prisoner's travel.
Emergency After-Hours and Weekend Approvals
All departmental employees with a profile can book emergency
travel. The assumption is that the employee received verbal
approval for travel with follow-up written approval upon return to
work.

Travel Advance Policy
The department will pay 90% of the estimated M&IE if
requested 10 days prior to travel and the warrant will be greater
than $100. If it is less than 10 days, a field warrant can be
issued if the traveler was not given enough notification that the
travel was going to occur and the 90% will be greater than
$100.
In-State Hotel Policy
Based on relative location to state business and employee
preference for area hotels. If the traveler does not have a One
Card the Hotel CTA will be used.
EasyBiz Policy
All EasyBiz miles are accumulated in one account. The use of miles
for travel purchases are by the Probation and Parole Travel desks
(2002).
