HSS Service Center Overview
The HSS Service Center provides service to managers, supervisors and employees in three main functional areas: Management Services, Payroll/Personnel, and Recruitment. To better serve you, there are two offices, one in Juneau and one in Anchorage.

Management Services staff provides professional & labor relations human resource services to managers and supervisors in the areas of management consulting. Management Services is the first point of contact for supervisors and managers who are experiencing personnel or employee relations issues. Human Resource Specialists coach supervisors and managers through the various personnel and employee relations processes.
Recruitment staff provides assistance and consultation to hiring managers in recruiting and selecting qualified individuals. Contact with the Recruitment staff should be done via email as much as possible. Recruitment vigilantly monitors response times to inquiries and requests to provide the quickest and most effective service possible.
Payroll staff provides assistance and consultation regarding payroll and personnel to ensure compliance with collective bargaining contracts, personnel rules, statutes and other federal and state requirements.
