The Public Protection HR Service Center is committed to working strategically with the departments of Corrections, Military & Veterans' Affairs, and Public Safety in identifying and responding to its changing needs. We provide a full range of centralized, comprehensive human resource management services in the areas of employee relations, workforce development, recruitment and payroll ensuring that the State is in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Alaska Family Leave Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the State Personnel Act, and various collective bargaining agreements. The payroll and recruitment staff is located in Juneau and the Management Services staff is located in both Anchorage and Juneau.
