I missed the enrollment deadline, is it too late?
Registration has closed for the AlaskaCare for the Weight Watchers at Work program, however it isn’t too late to take advantage other wellness plan options including:
- One-on-one telephonic personal wellness coaching to help you design a personalized program around your health goals
- Online Wellness Assessment & Support
- Monthly Wellness Challenges
- Lunch-n-Learn Webinars
How long will I be enrolled in this Plan?
We want to support our employees in achieving and maintaining their individual weight goals. Enrollment is based on an annual cycle beginning July 1, 2012 and continuing through June 30, 2013 unless you choose to terminate your participation early. As long as you continue to meet eligibility and fulfill your attendance requirements, the health plan will continue to pay your membership. This benefit provision is subject to change with notification.
What is the attendance requirement?
- Through March 31, 2013
- To remain eligible for the subsidy, members are required to participate in 20 out of 26 meetings. This requirement is applicable through March 31, 2013. Members who do not meet this attendance requirement will not be eligible to receive the subsidy and will not be considered enrolled in the program. These requirements have not changed since program inception.
- From April 1- June 30, 2013
- Attendance requirements will “reset” April 1 and members will be required to attend 9 out of 13 “At Work” meetings from April 1 through June 30, 2013 in order to remain eligible for the subsidy. Please note that we are not opening up enrollment at this time and members who did not meet attendance requirements prior to April 1, may not re-enroll.
Are there discounts for Weight Watchers products?
At this point we have not negotiated any additional discounted rates with Weight Watchers. However, Weight Watchers offer "special of the week" discounts for specific items.
If I enrolled and I miss more than 6 meetings in the 26 week timeframe, may I re-enroll?
At this time we are not opening up the program to additional participants or re-instating members who lost their eligibility.
Can I go to other Weight Watchers meetings?
No, this offering is for the At Work program only in your area. View available at work meeting locations.
