Retirement Questions

The Member Services Contact Center (MSCC) serves members of the Public Employees', Teachers', Judicial, National Guard and Elected Public Officer Retirement Systems. The Center also serves participants of the Alaska Supplemental Annuity (SBS) and the Alaska Deferred Compensation (DCP) Plans.

The MSCC serves active, inactive, retiring or retired members of the defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans with the following topics:

Health and Optional Benefits Questions

Serving active employees and retired members of the State and other participating employers who are covered under the AlaskaCare Health Plans and the Optional Benefits Plan by providing assistance with eligibility, enrollment and premium information for the following plans:

Retirement Counseling Services

For information regarding regional counselor visits to your area, please check [view travel schedule]. Appointments can be made in field areas by contacting your employer or your regional counselor.

Provides individual services to members of the pension and annuity programs administered by the Division of Retirement and Benefits. These services include the following: participation, enrollment, benefit options, saving for the future, disbursement, and monthly pension and annuity benefits. Also provides individual services to members with their AlaskaCare Retiree Health Plan initial enrollment at retirement.

Aetna and Moda Health/Delta Dental of Alaska are the third-party claims administrator for AlaskaCare. They assist the state in managing all aspects of the AlaskaCare Health Plan and process all health care claims for the state's AlaskaCare plan participants. Call this number for preauthorization, claim questions, and procedure questions.
