To All AlaskaCare Employee Plan Members:
In an effort to provide members of the AlaskaCare Employee Health Plan the best possible employee
benefits program, we have contracted with HealthSmart to assist our members and their covered
dependents as they manage certain health conditions. Many people report the desire to have additional
resources available to them when faced with managing a health condition for themselves or a dependent.
This program is designed to provide those resources, including patient education and support, is
voluntary and provided at no cost.
In the future, you may receive a letter, email, or phone call from HealthSmart inviting you into a program that can assist you with specific conditions, such as:
Any information provided to HealthSmart is 100% confidential. There is no reporting to your employer regarding individual information you share with your personal nurse at HealthSmart.
