Retirement Regional Counselors are responsible for providing counseling and technical services for members within an assigned geographic area in Alaska. The regional counselor regularly works with all five retirement systems, the Teachers' Retirement System (TRS), Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS), National Guard/Naval Militia Retirement System (NGNMRS), Judicial Retirement System (JRS), and Elected Public Officers Retirement System (EPORS) as well as with the other benefit areas such as SBS, Deferred Compensation, group major medical, and life insurance benefits for active employees and retirees.
