How to use Express Messaging

  1. If you are on the system, within the same city, you may dial * + 7 digit number.  You will reach the voicemail box directly without ringing the phone. Wait for the user’s voicemail greeting to finish, or press the # key to skip their greeting.
  2. If you are using an external phone from the system, dial the following numbers:
    • In Juneau – call 523-8799
    • In Anchorage - call 865-1998
    • In Fairbanks –call 328-6798
  3. When prompted to enter the extension number, dial the 7 digit number followed by #2. For example, to express message to 465XXXX, you would enter 465XXXX#2
  4. Wait for the user’s voicemail greeting to finish, or press the # key to skip
    their greeting.
