Cell Phones and Mobile Devices
Cell Phone Waiver Policy
All requests for non-GCI Cell phone, Blackberrys, aircards, smartphones (excluding iPhone), within the following 10 cities REQUIRE a Cell Phone/Mobile Device Waiver. iPhones require Agency Departmental IT Manager approval as per the TMC’s decision, but not a waiver.
All Cell phone, Blackberrys, aircards, smartphones (excluding iPhones), that are outside the following 10 cities are not in scope of the GCI Wireless Technologies contract and do not require Cell Phone/Mobile Device Waivers. Executive Branch agencies are delegated authority to purchase these devices outside of the 10 mandatory cities. Agencies must solicit all available competition for service in any out of scope area. If GCI is the successful bidder, please submit an ESO.
