  • 03 December 2010
    Regulations dealing with Well Safety Valve Systems were repealed and readopted by the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission with an effective date of December 03, 2010. The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 196, January 2011, of the Alaska Administrative Code. You may obtain a copy of the filed regulations at http://doa.alaska.gov/ogc/. The following sections were adopted: 20 AAC 25.265

  • 30 September 2010
    Regulations dealing with Geothermal Resources were adopted by the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission on July 14, 2010, with an effective date of September 30, 2010. The regulations have been made permanent and have been filed by the Lt. Governor. The regulations will appear in Register 195, October 2010, of the Alaska Administrative Code.     The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has revised its regulations dealing with commingling of production and injection practices requirements in 20 AAC 25.215. The amended regulation accounts for commingling injected well fluids. The Lieutenant Governor signed and filed the regulation changes on June 7, 2010, with an effective date of July 7, 2010.

  • 15 April 2010
    The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has revised its regulations dealing with suspended well requirements in 20 AAC 25.110(n). The amended regulation clarifies the Commission’s authority and provides explicit criteria for granting waivers. The Lieutenant Governor signed and filed the regulation changes on March 16, 2010, with an effective date of April 15, 2010.

  • 21 March 2010
    The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has revised its regulations dealing with well abandonment marker requirements in 20 AAC 25.120. The amended regulation specifies the required dimensions, configuration, and placement of well abandonment markers, and eliminates the use of marker posts. The Lieutenant Governor signed and filed the regulation changes on February 19, 2010, with an effective date of March 21, 2010.
