| Summary: |
This undefined oil pool within the Niakuk
Participating Area was first tested by the Prudhoe Bay
Unit NK-43 (“PBU NK-43”) well in March of 2001. NK-43
was perforated in the Sag River Formation (“Sag River”)
from 13,674' to 13,740' measured depth (9,818' to 9,879'
true vertical depth). During a four-hour flow test,
the well reportedly produced 1,021 barrels of oil, 2 barrels
of water, and 15,344 MCF gas. Regular production
from the pool occurred from March 2001 through June 2001,
and totaled 65,386 barrels of oil, 84,755 barrels of water,
504,427 MCF of gas. A second well, Prudhoe Bay Unit
NK-19A (“PBU NK-19A”), was drilled to the pool and tested
in January 2002. PBU NK-19A was perforated in the
Sag River from 12,120’ to 12,140’ measured depth (9,945’
to 9,963’ true vertical depth). No test results were
reported in the well history file, but the Commission’s
regular production records for this well report 2 barrels
of oil, 575 barrels of water, and 0 MCF of gas produced
over two operating days.
