| Summary: | The Redoubt
Unit undefined oil pool is located beneath the Cook Inlet,
about 2-1/2 miles offshore and approximately 65 miles southwest
of Anchorage. The Pan Am Redoubt Shoal No. 2 exploration
well discovered this accumulation in 1968. It lies within
the Hemlock Formation, about 11,500' below sea level. In
2000, Forest Oil Corporation (“Forest”) set
Osprey, the 16th Cook Inlet platform, explore and develop
the field. Regular production began in December 2000, and
average daily production peaked in May 2003 at rates of
3,481 barrels of oil, 853 MCF of gas, and 2,742 barrels
of water from four producing wells. During December 2004,
daily production from the pool averaged 761 barrels of
oil, 293 barrels of water, and 186 MCF of gas from two
producers.
