Marathon Oil Company (MaC), by a letter dated and received October 1,2009 requests the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (Commission) issue an order for an exception to the spacing requirements of 20 AAC 25.055(a)(4) to drill the Paxton #3 development gas well in the Ninilchik Unit-Susan Dionne/Paxton Participating Area, within 3000 feet of well capable of producing from the same interval. The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 20, Chapter 25 of the Alaska Administrative Code, governing well abandonment markers, including: 20 AAC 25.120 is proposed to be amended. The intended effect of the repeal and readoption is clarification of the required dimensions, configuration, and placement of a well abandonment marker, and elimination ofthe use of marker posts.
