The Board encourages applicants to avoid further injury by the offender to themselves and those in their care who might be exposed to possible injury by the offender. Therefore, the Board considers all requests for compensation of security measures.

Policy

Adopted 4-14-06

The Board encourages applicants to avoid further injury by the offender to the applicant and injury to persons in the care of the applicant who are or might be exposed to possible injury by the offender. Therefore, the Board will consider all requests for compensation of security measures such as new doors and locks, security devices and monitoring systems, new mail boxes, and any other measure determined to be reasonable. If an applicant chooses to utilize the services of a security company for a new system installation, the Board agrees to compensate related maintenance/monitoring costs for one year from the date of the initial installation.
