COVID-19 Notice for DMV Customers
Most transactions can be done online or through the mail and we encourage you to use these methods to reduce the spread of COVID-19. If you require an in-person visit for your transaction, you must make an appointment first by using our online scheduling tool.
These 3 are continued by the order of the Governor until the end of April or until he says otherwise.
To suspend the requirement that a commercial instruction permit is only valid for 180 days and can only be renewed one time for a period of
180 days if the permit would have expired on or after March 1. Suspended until the expiration of the disaster declaration, or until the expiration
of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Notice of Enforcement Policy Regarding Expiring Driver’s Licenses and Medical Examiner’s Certificates
During COVID-19.

To suspend the 30-day limit on the period of extension that DMV may grant to a driver who is temporarily out-of-state and unable to obtain services in
person with an expiring CDL such that DMV may grant an extension that is co-extensive with the suspension of this section.
