Single Sign On Implemented in NeoGov (Workplace Alaska)
Single Sign On was implemented in NeoGov on Monday 10/21/2024. This simplifies login for all new users to allow them to use their state username and password, the same that they use to access other State systems including Email, and AspireAlaska.
What this means for you?
- To login to NeoGov employees can go to https://login.neogov.com/authentication/saml/login/alaska to use their state credentials to access the system.
- If you do still login directly to NeoGov the password will be the same that you have used previously and your username is now SOA.EMPLOYEEID.
What if I don’t know my Employee ID?
Your Employee ID is the same number that you use to login to IRIS ESS. If you do not know your Employee ID, you can look yourself up in the Employee Directory (under the Advanced Search function); your admin staff should be able to look it up in IRIS ADV for you; or you can reach out to the Employee Call Center atEmployeeCallCenter@alaska.gov.
If you are having trouble logging in to NeoGov feel free to reach out to recruitment.services@alaska.gov. Human Resources will no longer be able to perform password resets on behalf of employees.
Alaska Federation of Natives Reach Out
The State held our annual outreach and recruitment event at the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) Convention on October 17, 2024. Human resources from the Division of Personnel and the Department of Family and Community Services came together to host a Pizza Party to meet conventioneers and help people set up profiles in Workplace Alaska. The event was held at the Atwood Building, directly across the street from the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage. When asked what their favorite part of the event was, Nathan Kerr, Strategic Recruitment Consultant said, “Connecting with the community.” Workforce Services Program Manager Heather Brookes responded, “It was fun to give out pizza, people were so happy.” HR Consultant Mercedes Sylva said she really liked that we live-streamed the main stage into our event so that we were able to be a part of it and watch it with conventioneers. This year’s convention theme was “Our Children – Our Future.” AFN is the largest Native organization in Alaska; and according to organizers, the convention has around 7,000 participants from across the State.
