Reasonable Accommodation

Employee | Member of Public

State agencies make every attempt to promote accessibility in state employment through good design in facilities and information. People with disabilities may request reasonable accommodation to participate fully and productively in state employment. Reasonable accommodation is an individualized process.

Member of the Public

Whether services are provided in-person or online, state agencies make every attempt to provide access for people with disabilities. Occasionally people with disabilities need modifications to participate in programs, services, and activities. This process might include providing information in alternate formats, holding a meeting in a different place, providing a sign language interpreter, or adjusting policies and practices.

Note: This website refers to the term “reasonable modification” for the public as “reasonable accommodation” to avoid confusion.
