The Alaska Administrative Productivity and Excellence (AAPEX) effort will empower peak performance of the State’s IT (Office of Information Technology - OIT) and Back-Office Shared Services (Shared Services of Alaska – SSOA) through improvement and streamlining.
This effort will occur in three phases:
- Phase 1: Assess the effectiveness of current IT and Back-Office Shared Services
- Phase 2: Define, design, and plan remaining IT and Back-Office Shared Service improvements
- Phase 3: Implement the plans developed in Phase 2 to achieve improved customer satisfaction
Intended outcomes for AAPEX include greater transparency, improved communication throughout the state, open opportunities for collaboration between departments, and clarification of job expectations in order to deliver improve performance and increase accountability for services delivery.
Regular AAPEX updates will be provided and are available through: departmental leadership and managers, townhalls,
email, the AAPEX Website, and the DOA Monthly Newsletter.
