Division of Motor Vehicles Makes Improvements to Saturday Service in Anchorage

April 26, 2012, Anchorage, Alaska – To better serve customers on Saturdays, DMV will be changing the hours of operation at two of its Anchorage offices effective May 5, 2012.

  • The Downtown DMV office located at 517 West 7th Avenue will no longer be providing service on Saturdays. The new hours for this office will be Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • The Anchorage-Benson DMV office located at 1300 W. Benson Blvd will be providing service Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Opening of the Anchorage-Benson DMV on Saturdays will allow for more convenient parking, additional customer seating and expanded services available to the public.
