Kelly Tshibaka, Commissioner

Welcome to the Department of Administration!

We proudly provide services and support to advance a thriving Alaska. Our divisions and commissions often are Alaskans’ interface with the State of Alaska. In that way, we serve as a “face of Alaska.” On the other hand, many of our divisions provide the necessary infrastructure for state agencies to operate. In that way, we serve as the “skeletal structure” for the government.

I was born and raised in Alaska, attended high school here, and left for college. After spending nearly 17 years leading and overseeing investigations, audits, data analytics, legal reviews, and inspections of federal agencies in the Washington, D.C. area, I’ve returned home to serve Alaska.

I believe Alaska is extraordinary. And I was inspired by Governor Dunleavy’s vision to make Alaskans’ lives extraordinary again by making Alaska safer, more prosperous, and fiscally responsible.

In the Department of Administration, we are going to do that by promoting efficiency and effectiveness; pursuing innovations and cost savings; and achieving results.

I am honored to serve the Governor, Department, and all Alaskans as the Commissioner of the Department of Administration.
